Continued Attention Seniors: Marcy Kindred of Kindred Photography will be at the school main entrance on Sunday, April 25 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to do senior portrait shots for anyone interested. These are free, sponsored by the MC Alumni Association. Photos will be uploaded to a website that you can access to print off or save pictures. You are welcome to bring with you anything you’d like to have in your pictures (pets, awards you’ve won, items from clubs/sports you’ve been involved in, etc.). Since Jostens will be delivering caps and gowns during lunch on April 20th, you will also have these to be photographed in if you wish. Again, it’s completely free of charge and a great opportunity to get senior pictures if you haven’t already or a chance to get a few more if you have already. There will likely be no access to the building on this day, so come prepared in whatever you wish to wear during the photo shoot. Message Mr. Retherford in Schoology if you have any questions.
Next Friday, April 23 is going to be Military Day here at MCHS. Students are asked to dress up in their camo for the day – there will be no cost to do so. We will have several branches of the military here for a Military Fair that day in the gymnasium during study hall and lunch to talk with students. They may have some interactive games to play as well as swag to distribute. Juniors and seniors will have priority during study hall, but our military representatives will be available to all students during the lunch periods. We will still practice COVID protocols of social distancing and mask wearing while participating in the fair. This will be a great opportunity for those of you who may be interested in a military career to talk to the experts. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, they haven’t been able to come in like they typically do during normal school years.
Reminders:
Masks need to be worn at all times covering both your mouth and your nose except for when eating or drinking. By doing so, contact tracing becomes more minimized.
Hats and hoods should not be worn anywhere in the building. Hats should be left in lockers during the school day.
As we approach warmer weather, it’s important that students revisit the dress code in the student handbook to make sure that they dress appropriately for school.
Teachers have been directed to refer violators to administration for possible disciplinary consequences.
