If you are a student driver please be sure to update your parking information with the office. If you are a new driver or if you have lost your parking tag please see the office to get your tag. Parking tags cost $5 and you will need a tag to park your car at school!
This is a reminder that breakfast is free for all students. There are two tables set up, one in the high school hall and one in the junior high. Just grab your breakfast and go eat! It’s free!!!!
Any student 9-12 interested in running for their class student council or class officer needs to send a schoology message to Mrs. Van Pelt by the end of the day, August 19. It should include your name, grade, and position you want to run for.
Attention All Students: It’s time to start practicing your smiles! School picture day is Thursday, August 26th. If you haven’t gotten package forms yet, you can get one from the main office or from your English teacher. Please be sure to give the forms to your parents, and remember, EVERYONE, even Seniors, will get pictures taken on August 26th for the yearbook, even if you DON’T want to purchase a picture package. See Ms. Barton in room 108 if you have any questions.
Students are invited to apply for the United States Senate Youth Program, sponsored by the Hearst Foundation. Two Indiana juniors or seniors students will be selected to earn a $10,000 college scholarship and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. on March 5-12, 2022. Applications, essay, and letter of recommendation are due to the Indiana Bar Foundation by October 1, 2021. Eligible students are high school juniors and seniors who are currently serving in leadership roles in student government in the 2021-2022 school year:
· Student body president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer
· Class president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer
· Student council representative
· National Honor Society officer (including discipline-based Honor Society such as the National English and Social Studies Honor Societies that include service components)
· Student representative elected or appointed to a district, regional, or state level civic or educational organization.

The girls’ golf team placed 7 in the Elwood Invitational Saturday. 4 of the 5 girls shot their best 18 hole scores and 2 also shot 9 hole bests. The girls play Richmond and Winchester Tuesday at Hickory Hills. Lydia Price: 116, Maleigh Ervin: 117 (personal 18 best), Carol-Anne Kritsch:126 (personal 18 best and 9 hole best), Audrey Stoops: 112 (low for the Bears, personal 18 best and BOTH 9 hole bests), Carli Hunt: 130 (personal 18 best). Coach VP is so happy with how hard the girls are working and how they keep getting better!
We will have a fundraising meeting this morning at 8:30 in the cafeteria for all students going on the Washington DC trip in October. Chocolate sales will begin, but should only occur outside of school hours. For more information, see Mr. Ragan.
