FFA Members – Mum sales order forms are due today, Monday August 23rd. Please turn in to Mr. Weiler or Mrs. Thornburg by the end of the school day.
Chocolate sales have started for those 8th and 9th grade students going on the DC trip. Please bring your permission forms or money to the high school office.
Louie’s Tux Shop will be hosting their 9th annual statewide Model Search beginning on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to win a $1000 scholarship. See the posters around school or see Mrs. Swift in Student Services for more information. (8/27)
The sophomore and junior class elections are open on schoology. They will close at midnight on Tuesday August 24th. Senior voting will start on Tuesday after the presidential speeches.
The Albany Veterinary Clinic is hiring. If you are interested, please stop by the clinic and fill out an application.
Attention All Students: It’s time to start practicing your smiles! School picture day is Thursday. If you haven’t gotten package forms yet, you can get one from the main office or from your English teacher. Please be sure to give the forms to your parents, and remember, EVERYONE, even Seniors, will get pictures taken on August 26th for the yearbook, even if you DON’T want to purchase a picture package. See Ms. Barton in room 108 if you have any questions.

The girls’ golf team finished 8th at the MC Invitational on Saturday. The highlight of the day is that 3 out of 4 girls had their personal bests for 18 holes. The girls play Monday at the Portland Golf Club.
The Golden Bear Football team opened the season with a big win at 3a Hamilton Heights this past Friday. The Bear’s won the game 10-0 behind a balanced attack and great kicking game led by Elijah “Kicking Bear” Taylor. The team was able to cause one turnover but unfortunately had one of their own. The Bear’s have their home opener this Friday with Indianapolis opponent Crispus Attuks. Hope to see you there…
