Daily Announcements 9/15/2021

All student drivers are required to have a parking pass and updated driver information in the office. If you have not filled out a new form or need a parking pass please be sure to pick one up in the office. There is a form that needs to be filled out and signed and the cost of a pass is $5.
Students who do not have parking passes could have discipline or parking privileges revoked!
Student Drivers must have a pass by Friday, October 1.

The FCA is sponsoring “See You at the Poll” next Wednesday, September 22 at 7:30am at the football field flag pole.

Here are the dress up days for Harvest Homecoming week next week (Sept 20-24):
Monday – Christmas in September
Tuesday – Twin Tuesday
Wednesday – Superhero/Character
Thursday – Jersey Day
Friday – Brown and Gold Day

Feeling dramatic? Monroe Central Theatre will be holding auditions for the fall play “Heir to a Misfortune” on September 14th & 15th at 3:30pm in the choir room. No experience needed! Audition forms will be available in the front office and at the audition. Email Ms. Miner with any questions at ominer@monroecentral.org.

All high school students are invited to the Harvest Semi-Formal dance! The dance will be Saturday, September 25th, 8pm-11pm. The cost of tickets will be $15 for couples and $8 for a single. Tickets will only be sold during A lunch through Friday September 24th. Tickets will also be sold at the door. If a student from another school will be attending, please pick up a dance request form from the office. Come out and have a great time!

Seniors – we have another ceiling tile art project work session scheduled for this Wednesday from after school until 7:00-8:00 p.m. If you are interested in painting a tile, you must get started this Wednesday night. We may have one more session for those who have started to allow them to finish.

The MC Jr High Cross Country teams ran in a hot and windy meet Tuesday night against Delta, Muncie Southside, and Union City. Both the boys and girls teams finished 1st overall. Jackson Wines led the boys race for the entire 2 miles, chased the whole way by Southside’s top runner. Zadok Lloyd finished in a strong 8th place, followed by Wyatt Daniels and Max Wagner in 10th and 12th places. Nick Hendrickson finished out the top 7 for MC in 21st place. Great job boys!
Avery Thomas again led the MC Lady Bears and finished in 3rd place tonight, behind Delta’s top 2 girls. Makennah Chamness ran well, finishing in 9th place overall and 6th place for the team. Great job Girls!

The junior high football team lost to Union City last night, 34-20. The bears are slated to play Eastern next Tuesday at home.

The Lady Bear golfers were defeated by Daleville on Tuesday at Crestview 228-195. Highlights for the evening Carol-Anne Kritsch shot 52 for her personal best and a nice dinner at Mulligans after. The girls play in Sectionals on Saturday at Crestview.
