There will be a student council meeting today during LITE for members 9-11 in VPs room to elect next year’s student council officers.

All current 8th graders who are interested in the 21st Century Scholars program must have their applications in by June 30th, 2022. Questions, see Ms. Northcutt.

Attention Seniors!! In order to put senior quotes in the yearbook, the yearbook staff needs ¾ of seniors to fill out the google form emailed to them from Ms. Walls. This must be completed by Friday, May 20th @ 3:05pm. If you don’t have a quote you can put your favorite memory at Monroe Central.

Any student, freshman through junior, who is interested in being a Monroe Central Athletic Ambassador for the 2022-23 school year needs to pick up an application in the main office and return it to Mr. Burkett by no later than Friday, May 20th.

Reminder to all students – we are still doing a 4th quarter grade challenge. Your name will be put in for a drawing for every grade that you improve (or keep an A) between the 3rd quarter and 4th quarter. Let’s finish the school year off strong!

Monroe Central will be hosting IHSAA sports physicals this June with Dr. Lumpkin. We have two dates available but will fill the June 9th date first before using the June 16th date. The cost is $20 and must be paid when signing up with Mrs. Murray in the HS office.

The Varsity Baseball team lost a close game Friday night at Homestead by a score of 7-6. The Bears made it close scoring 4 times in the top of the 7th inning. Aidyn Coffey picked up two hits including a homerun and drove in 4 runs. Blake Bogue also had two hits for the Bears.

The Varsity Track teams competed in the MEC Championships last Friday night. The Boys finish as MEC Runner up! And the girls team took a solid 4th place! Many great performances on the night!

And the Boys 4x800m Relay Team of (Carter Miller, Tucker Burris, Eli Chamberlain, Caden Landis) (Breaking the school record!)
The Girls run at the Delta Sectional Tuesday while the Boys Run at the Muncie Central Sectional on Thursday.
