Attention Seniors – On May 23rd please wear gear that represents your college or trade school that you plan to attend after high school.

All current 8th graders who are interested in the 21st Century Scholars program must have their applications in by June 30th, 2022. Questions, see Ms. Northcutt.

Attention Seniors!! In order to put senior quotes in the yearbook, the yearbook staff needs ¾ of seniors to fill out the google form emailed to them from Ms. Walls. This must be completed by Friday, May 20th @ 3:05pm. If you don’t have a quote you can put your favorite memory at Monroe Central.

Any student, freshman through junior, who is interested in being a Monroe Central Athletic Ambassador for the 2022-23 school year needs to pick up an application in the main office and return it to Mr. Burkett by no later than Friday, May 20th.

Monroe Central will be hosting IHSAA sports physicals this June with Dr. Lumpkin. We have two dates available but will fill the June 9th date first before using the June 16th date. The cost is $20 and must be paid when signing up with Mrs. Murray in the HS office.

The Girls Varsity Track team competed in the Delta Sectional last night. The girls team took 8th place overall! Individuals advancing to the Ben Davis Regional include: Addison Coe – 1600m Run, Sami Farmer – Shot Put & Discus. Also advancing is the Girls 4x800m Relay Team of (Leah Osborne, Addy Puckett, Katie Osborne, Karly Puckett) (Breaking the school record with a time of 10:35.23!!! Those Girls will run next Tuesday night at Ben Davis High School in the regional meet!

The Varsity Baseball Team defeated Cowan last night by a score of 6-1. Joel Kennedy was 2 for 4 with 5 RBIs hitting a Grand Slam in the 2nd inning. Caleb Snyder picked up 3 hits for the victors and Ashton Bandy had 2 hits. Aidyn Coffey and Brayden Matheny combined to strike out 13 Blackhawks with Coffey earning the victory on the mound. Great job to the baseball team!
