If you are an Out of District student that received the Out of District form, please return the completed form to Mrs. Swift in Student Services as soon as possible.

7th and 8th grade students, candy bar sales have ended and money is due at this time.

The Lady Bears golf team placed 2nd in the Randolph County Golf Tournament on Thursday. Ariana Poe was on the 2022 All-County team.

The JV volleyball squad fell to Cowan in a tough 3 set loss on Thursday. Hadley Hendrickson led the JV with 5 kills. Ava Phelps and Liz Chamberlain each add 2 kills apiece. Sophia Bolton added 2 digs and 1 ace as well as many hustle plays for her team. JV Score: 25-18, 23-25, 12-15

The varsity volleyball squad beat Cowan in 4 sets on Thursday night. Maggie Haney led her team with 9 kills and 5 aces. She also added 6 digs and a block to boost her team. Sydney Patterson and Addi Grove each had 2 kills apiece, with Sydney also picking up 6 digs and an ace. Bri Case led her team with 8 digs. Hadley Hendrickson added 1 kill, 1 block, and 3 digs while Jazz Short also added a block for her team. Karmen Summers added 3 digs while Aubrey Johnson added 2 digs, 1 ace, and 1 kill. Varsity Score: 9-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-19.

The Golden Bear Football team was defeated Friday by an impressive North Decatur ballclub. The Bears are idle this week and return to play September 16th at South Adams.

The MC Jr High Cross Country teams ran well at the Marion Invitational on Saturday. The Girls’ team finished 3rd out of 16 teams and the Boys earned 4th out of 17 teams. Earning medals for the girls by finishing in the top 35 out of 162 runners were Aberee Ervin in 15th, followed by Brylie Tinsman in 19th, Abby Thomas in 20th, and Andi Watson in 27th place. Brynlee Patterson completed the top five in 48th place. Oaklie Davis and Brynlee Dumpert were the 6th and 7th runners for MC. Alexander Coe nearly earned top runner for MC, but Jackson Wines pushed to stay in his spot finishing 17th out of 183 runners. Coe finished in a close 18th, with Jed Ferguson earning a medal for 25th place. Zadok Lloyd and Wyatt Daniels finished in 46th and 51st places to be the 4th and 5th MC runners. Ashton Dance and Stephen Stockwell completed the top 7. Great accomplishments Bears!
