Parker City presents a Parade of Lights and Holiday Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 3rd starting at 6:30pm. Visit downtown for treats and more!

Grades 9-12, mark your calendar for the Winter Semi-Formal Dance on December 30th, 2022. Tickets will start being sold the week before winter break, or at the door.

The MC Academy is sponsoring a Food Drive during the month of November and start of December with all food items being donated for Christmas food assistance through the Rex Amburn Memorial Food Drive within the MC Community. This year’s annual food drive will be a COMPETITION between grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and the teachers & staff.
–You need to bring in the listed item of the day to get a point for that day.
–For each food item you donate to your grade’s box your class will receive one (1) point.
–For each dollar you donate to your grade’s jar your class will receive one (1) point.
–If you donate an item that is not on the list for that day to another grade’s box they will lose a point.
–The class with the most points will win a prize for each student.
Below is a list for each day. This list will be available in the cafeteria as well.
Monday, Dec 5- Corn
Tuesday, Dec 6- Mixed Vegetables
Wednesday, Dec 7- Carrots
Thursday, Dec 8- Green beans

The Monroe Central 7th Grade Boys Basketball team defeated Blue River Valley 39-18 Thursday night to improve to 4-2 on the young season. Another strong second half propelled the Bears to their fourth win on the year. Great teamwork and hustle helped their Bears pick up their second MEC win of the week. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 20 and Myles Oliphant with 13. The Bears return to action on Monday against Muncie Southside in Hall Gym.

The 8th grade boys suffered their second straight one point loss last night at Blue River 51 to 50 in triple overtime. Despite a great effort the Bears came up just short. The Bears were led by Caden Dance with 21 points and Pierceton Erwin with 19. We return to action Monday night in the Bear Den against Muncie South.

Monroe Central Jr. High girls won against Daleville Middle School 51-26. The Lady Bears did very well with Aberee Ervin and Brynlee Patterson leading the way with 12 points each, Olivia Conklin followed with 11, Oaklei Davis had 6, Haidyn Dumpert and Brylie Tinsman had 3 points each, and Abby Thomas and Charlee Morris added 2. Following the 8th grade game there was an extra quarter played for the 7th grade. The Lady Bears won 16-0 with Brylie Tinsman leading the way.
