MACC applications are now open to 10th and 11th grade students for the 23-24 school year! All students interested in attending the Muncie Area Career Center must have an application on file in order to attend. Current MACC students wishing to return next year must also fill out a new application. Applications can be picked up in student services and are due back to student services today.
The girls and boys County Basketball Tournament will be held at Union City on January 4th-7th, 2023. Presale all session tickets are available December 12th-21st and January 3rd-4th in the high school office from 8am-3pm. All session tickets cost $15 and are good for all 4 nights of the tournament. Single session tickets purchased at the door will be $7.
Grades 9-12, mark your calendar for the Winter Semi-Formal Dance on December 30th, 2022. Tickets will be sold during lunch starting on December 12th or can be purchased at the door the night of the dance. Ticket cost is $15 per couple or $8 for a single.
Monroe Central freshman basketball improved their record to 2-0 on the season with a 39-33 road win at Northeastern. Griffin Gannon led the Bears with 14 points followed by Jackson Konkle and Cohen West with 8 points each. Justice Davis chipped in 5 points and Kyler Bogue rounded out the scoring with 4 points.
The JV Girls lost a hard fought game at Blackford 21-15. The Bears were led in scoring by Gracie Baker with 5 points. Avery Thomas and Sophia Bolton each had 4 points. Aubrey Johnson had 2.
The varsity Lady Bears lost a hard fought game at Blackford, 53-48. The Bears are now 7-6 on the season and travel to Eastern Hancock for a big conference game on December 27th. Kimber Abshear led with 18 points, Audrey Keeley followed with 10 and Mayleigh Ervin chipped in with 8 points.
