The girls and boys County Basketball Tournament will be held at Union City on January 4th-7th. Presale all session tickets are available until 4pm today in the high school office. All session tickets cost $15 and are good for all 4 nights of the tournament. Single session tickets purchased at the door will be $7.

The 8th grade boys were defeated 33 to 24 last night by a very good Shenandoah team. After a tough second quarter the Bears came out in the 3rd and held Shenandoah scoreless while putting up 8 points to get within 2 points. Unfortunately that was as close as we would get as the Raiders pulled away halfway through the 4th quarter. Maddox Taylor and Conner Baker led the Bears with 9 points apiece. Great effort tonight after a long holiday break. The Bears travel to Blackford on Monday.

Final score for Varsity Wrestling last night was SW 30 to MC 30 – Southern Wells wins due to tie breaker criteria for giving up fewer forfeits. Winners for the Golden Bears by pin fall were at 170 Jerimiah Ullom, at 195 Hunter Page and at 220 Kolten Tinsman. Also winning were 160 Cade Goodrich and 182 Jacobe Butler. Golden Bears compete next in the Wayne County Classic this weekend at Centerville High School.
