The Monroe Central High School Art Club is hosting a Cookies & Canvas fundraising event on Tuesday, May 9th from 6-8pm in the high school art room. Tickets are $20 and include a canvas, materials, painting lesson, and refreshments. Spots are limited! Please contact Ms. Lillian McClung via email or phone to reserve your spot.
Juniors and Seniors, prom 2023’s theme is “A Night on Cloud 9.” Prom Bids are on sale during A lunch until May 12th. A single ticket is $20, and a couple is $40.
Seniors: The cookout traditionally follows your graduation rehearsal and is held under the concession stand pavilion. We will have prize giveaways for those who attend. Please go to your “Seniors 2023” Schoology group page & fill out the cookout survey by May 3rd. (Your graduation rehearsal & cookout will be Friday, June 2nd.) Thank you!
The teachers’ association is selling beef sticks before and after school. Mrs. Van Pelt will be outside room 110 each morning selling and in her room (115) after school.
The Bears lost to Delta on Wednesday 26-18. The Bears combined for 13 hits and 5 walks. Aubrey Johnson went 2-4 with 2 RBI and 4 runs scored. Whitley Martin went 3-4 with 4 RBI and 4 runs scored. Tessa Chesher went 4-5 with 2 runs scored, 6 RBI and a grand slam. Kate Brown went 1-4 with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, and her first HR of the season. Ava Pohl went 1-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Caylie Newsome went 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Miriam Fortriede went 2-5 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored. The Bears head to Wes-Del on Thursday.
JH Golf defeated Driver 139-148. Top 4 scores were Cooper Huston 29 low medalist, Aberee Ervin 31, Case Chalfant 39, and Charlee Morris 40.
