Here are the Spring Spirit dress up days for the week:

Friday: Brown and Gold Day

Attention Students Taking Edmentum Classes – As we begin to wrap up the school year, here are some deadline dates for you.  All teacher-graded activities, projects, discussions, etc. must be finished by 3:05 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023.  All learning modules, mastery tests, unit tests, and semester tests that are graded by Edmentum must be completed by 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.  Students who do not complete Edmentum courses will be enrolled in Summer School.  Please see Mr. Retherford or Mrs. Moran if you have any questions.

The Monroe Central High School Art Club is hosting a Cookies & Canvas fundraising event on Tuesday, May 9th from 6-8pm in the high school art room. Tickets are $20 and include a canvas, materials, painting lesson, and refreshments. Spots are limited! Please contact Ms. Lillian McClung via email or phone to reserve your spot. 

Attention Seniors – Senior Workday T-shirts will be passed out on WEDNESDAY 5/10. Senior Work day is Friday, 5/12 from 8:30 – 12:00 with lunch to follow at the football field. This year we will be working in Parker City, Farmland, and the Conservation Club. Group Sign-up forms are now on the Senior class Schoology page.

Juniors and Seniors, prom 2023’s theme is “A Night on Cloud 9.” Prom Bids are on sale during A lunch until May 12th. A single ticket is $20, and a couple is $40.

The teachers’ association is selling beef sticks before and after school. Mrs. Van Pelt will be outside room 110 each morning selling and in her room (115) after school.

The MC Boys and Girls Jr High Track teams came out on top at a 3 way meet on Wednesday night against Driver and Hagerstown.  The Boys team scored 65, Driver 34 and Hagerstown 26.  The Girls team scored 65, Driver 47 and Hagerstown 14.  Top finishers for MC include:

                      Abby Thomas 1st in 800 M

                      Andi Watson 1st in 400 M

                      Kenlie Lester 1st in Long Jump

                      Karma Armor 1st in Shot Put

Great job teams!  The Jr High teams run next on Thursday at Cowan.
