Daily Announcements 05/22/2024

Attention, those interested in running high school cross country in the fall. There will be a parent and student/runner meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00pm. We will meet outside at the south end of the track at the concession.

Monroe Central High School will be hosting IHSAA sports physicals on May 30th with Dr. Lumpkin. The cost is $20 and must be paid when signing up with Mrs. Murray in the HS office. 

Seniors: Graduation practice will take place Friday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m.  We will need everyone there that is planning to walk at graduation. Graduation picture order forms are in the office.

Juicy Jakes Smashburgers is looking for workers age 16 and older who want to work this summer. Applications available at 700 E McGalliard Rd, Muncie, IN 47303.

The Albany Vet Clinic will be hiring students for work this summer. Anyone interested needs to stop by the vet office and fill out an application.

JH Golf won last night with a 129. Selma had a 133, Union City had a 156, and Driver had a 175. The top 4 scores that count towards our total are:

The varsity boys golf team hosted Wes-Del at Hickory Hills for Senior Night. The Bears lineup of 4 seniors won the match 170-218 and finished the season 9-3 in weekday matches. The Bears were led by a trio of 42’s coming from Coltan West, Hayden Taylor, and Cohen West. Gabe Rees finished with a 44 and Bentley Thornburg shot a 48. The Bears season isn’t over yet and have 2 more invitationals over the next week before playing in the Sectional.
