Daily Announcements 11/26/2024

After school tutoring is canceled for today (Tuesday, November 26).

There will be a blood drive at the high school on December 3, 2024 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Please scan the code on the flyers that are posted around the school or see Mrs. Ulrey to sign up.

Would you like to raise money for your class or organization or be in a parade (Anything on Wheels counts) for FREE? On December 7th from 5 pm-9 pm Parker City is having a Christmas Event and would love for you to be a part of it. Please contact Mrs. Greer if you are interested and have any questions or to reserve your spot! Also please share with anyone you think might be interested. 

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays (not Tuesday, Nov. 26) and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.

The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm.

The 8th grade Golden Bears got their first road win of the season against a very talented Driver team. The boys put together a solid first half and went into halftime up 23-16. The 8th grade team kept up this performance in the second half and finished the game off winning 45-35. The boys played great defense as well as having 3 scorers in double digits. Miles Gross led the team with 13. He was followed by Braylynn Hunt with 11, Alex Middleton with 10, Matthew Constant with 5, Dallas Frantz with 4 and Carter Lucies with 2. 

The 7th grade boys basketball team fell to Driver 36-49. Knox Myers led all scorers with 19 points, Leum Butler scored 10, Lleyton Redmon, Mason Gilliam, and Elijah Keeley also scored. 

The 8th Grade Lady Bears played host to the Driver Hawks on Monday evening and put on a dominating performance, beating the county rival 35-8 and sending them on their Falcon way. The Bears got off to a quick 10-0 lead thanks to great pressure defense, good interior passing and solid offensive rebounding. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Lucy Huston with 13 and Izzy McGrath with 11. Landry Taylor added 5 and Mila Morris, Claire Cheesman and Ada Wagner added 2 each. Monroe Central travels to Shenandoah on December 3rd for an MEC matchup against the Raiders. Go Bears!

The 7th grade girl’s basketball team played a balanced game last night defeating the Driver Hawks 34-16 moving them to 3-0 on the season. Izzy McGrath led the scoring with 9, Gracie McCreery 7, Landry Taylor 5, Bristol Goad 3, and 2 a piece from Lillie Moery, Mila Morris, Brynlee Dumpert, Claire Cheeseman and Mati McConnell. Ada Wagner didn’t score but played very hard on both ends of the court.
