The FFA welding teams of Elijah Cleveland, Landen Tinsman, Peyton Farmer, Josh Swearingen, Austin Schneider, and Megan DeVoss will be competing Saturday Dec. 7th at the district contest being held at the Whitewater Valley Career Center at Connersville. Good luck to you all!

There will be a varsity softball callout meeting in hall gym on Monday.

We will be having “Food Drive Dress Up Days” next week for the Rex Amburn food drive. Please bring a can of food each day and dress up on the following days:

Monday – Ugly Sweater

Tuesday – Holiday Movie or Holiday Song

Wednesday – Dress Like You’re From The North Pole

For just $1, you can ditch the traditional school attire and swap it for your favorite festive PJs. That’s right, we’re giving you the chance to roll out of bed and head straight to school in comfort while supporting a great cause! (Just remember to follow the school’s dress code!)

Cost: $1 per person

But wait, there’s more! All proceeds from this festive fundraiser will go directly to our incredible Academic Team, helping them achieve even greater heights of success. By participating, you not only get to enjoy a day of ultimate comfort but also contribute to the growth and success of our academic stars.

There will be a “Mental Health Monday Bowling Night” on December 16th from 6-8pm at the Winchester Bowl ~ 960 E Washington Street, Winchester, IN 47394. This is free for Randolph County Teens in grades 8th – 12th.

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.

The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm. 

5 Star Driver Education is offering driver education. Stop by the office to pick up an information sheet or go to www.fivestardrivered.com

The 7th grade girls basketball team got off to a hot start on a cold night against the Daleville Broncos  leading 15-0 after the first quarter and cruising to a 33-3 victory to extend their record to 5-0. The Bears were led in scoring by Mila Morris and Brynlee Dumpert with 8, Mati McConnell 5, Izzy McGrath and Bristol Goad 4 and 2 apiece from Landry Taylor and Lillie Moery. Ada Wagner played tenacious defense and Gracie McCreery had nice game facilitating the offense. The will be back in action Monday when they travel to Yorktown.

The 8th grade Lady Bears hosted Daleville on Thursday evening and ended with a convincing win, defeating the Broncos 56-14. The Bears got off to a quick start and finished the quarter with a 12-2 lead and never looked back. Landry Taylor led all scorers with 19 points, several coming from steals and fast break layups and offensive rebounds. Lucy Huston and Mila Morris both added 10 points and Izzy McGrath added 9. Gracie McCreery and Elena Simms rounded off the scoring with 4 points each. Evangelina Arrington and Arianna Carroll both played hard and contributed in the win. The Lady Bears travel to Yorktown on December 9th for a road matchup with the Tigers. GO BEARS!!!

The 8th grade Golden Bears went on the road to Blue River for their 3rd game of the week. The Bears came out of the gates strong and went into halftime up 27-8. The boys kept up this play in the second half to win 48-21. The boys played great defense and rebounded the ball very well. They were led by Miles Gross with 22 points. He was followed by Braylynn Hunt with 12. 

The 7th grade boys came out strong and were up 23-6 at halftime. Blue River tried to make a comeback in the second half but the Golden Bears held them off and won the game 38-23. Leum Butler led all scorers with 23 points. Parker Morris, Knox Myers, Liam Whitehead, Lleyton Redmon, Ashton Dance, and Elijah Keeley all contributed in scoring.
