All seniors need to report to the main gym by 11:15am today. This is mandatory. Pizza will be provided for lunch.

Juniors: The Randolph County Youth Salute Nomination forms are now available in Student Services. To qualify for the Leadership Salute, a student must: 

1. Be a high school junior (Class of 2026)
2. Have served in a position of leadership in a school, church, or community-sponsored organization during the last three years

Please pick up a form in Student Services and reach out to a staff member for their nomination. All forms are due back to Student Services by March 3rd. Please see Mrs. Moran with any questions

The 2025 Winter Homecoming Dance will be after the boys JV/varsity basketball game on Friday, January 31st until 11PM. This dance is open to grades 7-12 and will cost $5 at the door. If you are bringing a guest who doesn’t go to our school we must have a signed dance request form back to the office by Wednesday, January 29th.

On Sunday February 2nd, from 10AM to 5PM, the annual IPMG/Special Olympics basketball invitational will be held at Monroe Central High School. Special Olympics is looking for volunteers in various opportunities such as being a referee, score keeping, runners, clean up, concessions, etc. If you’re interested in volunteering, all day or half day, please send Mrs. Wines a message through Schoology or see her in room 144 to sign up.

There will be a Semi-Formal Sweetheart’s Dance on Saturday, February 22nd from 7p-10p. This dance is only open to grades 9-12 and will cost $10 for a single ticket or $15 for a couple’s ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door. If you are bringing a guest who doesn’t go to our school we must have a signed dance request form back to the office by Wednesday, February 19th. 

5 Star Driver Education is offering driver education. Stop by the office to pick up an information sheet or go to www.fivestardrivered.com

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.

The 7th grade Lady Bears closed out the regular season with their 17th win and no losses by a 33-6 win over the Union City Indians. Lillie Moery played lock down defense all night to go along with numerous rebounds. Leading the balanced scoring attack was Landy Taylor 10, Izzy McGrath 6, Mila Morris 5, Gracie McCreery 3, Bristol Goad, Mati McConnell, Brynlee Dumpert and Claire Cheesman 2 and Ada Wagner 1. The Ladys will finish the season on Saturday February 8th at home against Driver in the County tourney.

The 8th Grade Lady Bears traveled to Union City on Thursday evening and scalped the host Indians 31-17 in their final game of the season. Lucy Huston led all scorers with 10 points, Landry Taylor added 8, Brynlee Dumpert had 4 and Mati McConnell added 3. Lillie Moery, Mila Morris and Elena Simms had 2 apiece. Ada Wagner and Arianna Carroll both had great showings on the boards and defensively and contributed to the victory. The girls all showed tremendous growth and improvement throughout the season and finish with a respectable 11-4 record! GO BEARS!!!
