The Junior High Winter Dance that was scheduled for this Saturday, February 15th has been postponed to a later date. More information will be provided soon.
Today Monday, Feb. 10, there will be a high school study hall meeting for all those who plan to participate in the FFA tractor and truck drive-ins in Mr. Weiler’s room.
FFA Dress up days/activities for next week:
February 18, Tuesday – Farmers Day Off (pajamas) Tractor drive in and parade.
February 19, Wednesday – Camo day. Truck drive in.
February 20, Thursday – Country vs. Country Club
February 21, Friday – Blue and Gold (shortened schedule for ag olympics)
Candy Grams!! The Class of 2027 will be selling candy grams during lunch time until Wednesday, Feb. 12th. Stop by to pick out your candy and have it sent to your special someone or friend. Candy will be $2 a box.
There will be a Semi-Formal Sweetheart’s Dance on Saturday, February 22nd from 7p-10p. This dance is only open to grades 9-12 and will cost $10 for a single ticket or $15 for a couple’s ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door. If you are bringing a guest who doesn’t go to our school we must have a signed dance request form back to the office by Wednesday, February 19th.
Attention Seniors who are participating in any clubs/sports your senior year: Senior night will be on Tuesday, February 25th, between the JV and varsity boys basketball games against Union City. Please stop by the office and pick up a senior night form. Forms need to be returned to Mrs. Murray by Tuesday, February 18th.
There is an additional Second Harvest field trip for High School students on March 19th. If you would like to volunteer please sign up in student services or send Mrs. Antrim a schoology message.

Juniors: The Randolph County Youth Salute Nomination forms are now available in Student Services. To qualify for the Leadership Salute, a student must:
- Be a high school junior (Class of 2026)
- Have served in a position of leadership in a school, church, or community-sponsored organization during the last three years
Please pick up a form in Student Services and reach out to a staff member for their nomination. All forms are due back to Student Services by March 3rd. Please see Mrs. Moran with any questions

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.
The 7th grade girl’s basketball team finished their outstanding season by winning the Randolph County tourney Saturday and finishing 19-0. This wasn’t without a bit of a setback as Lillie Moery had broken her wrist the previous day and Landry Taylor was unable to play due to an illness. In the first game the ladies defeated a scrappy Driver team 36-24. Izzy McGrath led the scoring with 11 to go along with multiple block shots. Mati McConnell had 9, Gracie McCreery 8, Mila Morris 5 and Claire Cheesman 3. In the championship game the girls had their best offensive output of the season by defeating Randolph Southern 63-29. Knocking down a season tying high of 7 three pointers. All 8 players scored led by Claire Cheesman with 21, Mila Morris 13, Gracie McCreery 8, Izzy McGrath 7, ti McConnell 6, Bristol Goad 4, Brynlee Dumpert and Ada Wagner 2.
The Archery Team competed in the NASP State Qualifier on Saturday January 25th here at Monroe Central. Carson Brown was Top Jr High Male, Carson Brown, Lillie Baker and Callie Rowe Top 12 all Tournament Team!! Carson Brown and Lillie Baker have both qualified for the NASP State Tournament and will be competing on March 8th at the State Fair Grounds!!
The Archery Team competed this weekend Feb 8th at the Northeastern Shootout 2. Carson Brown was Top Overall, Top Male and Top Jr High Male with a 287!! Lillie Baker was the Top Female and Top High School Female with a 285!!
The Archery Team will be in action again on Feb 22nd at Randolph Southern for the County Tournament!!!
Friday night the girls varsity basketball team defeated Union City 67-30. Congratulations to Sydney Patterson on scoring her 1,000th career point! Way to go Sydney!!
Saturday night the varsity girls basketball team defeated Randolph Southern in the sectional championship game 58-33. Congratulations girls on winning the IHSAA Sectional 56 Championship! This is the 10th Sectional Title in school history!
Congratulations to Jerimiah Ullom on being the IHSAA Regional Runner-Up at 165 pounds! He has qualified for the IHSAA Semi-State next Saturday at the Ft. Wayne Coliseum. Great Job!
