The High School Academic Team had an awesome meet last night at Wapahani. Our Fine Arts team tied for first place with Jay County, our Social Studies and English teams placed second overall, and our Science team placed third. Our next meet is our Regional meet on April 22 at Richmond High School.
Any FFA member that will be in high school during the 2025-26 school year and is interested in being a high school officer, applications are available and can be picked up in either Ag classroom. They are due back April 18th. Good luck!
There will be a blood drive on April 10, 2025 in the high school gym from 9:00am – 12pm. If you donate you will receive an awesome t-shirt! Seniors who have tried to donate at least 3 times during their high school years will receive a red cord to wear at graduation. Juniors: Interested in getting a jump start on preparations for college? Sign up for a visit to IUE for their Junior Preview Day on April 10th from 8:30-1:30. This visit will give you tools to learn more about what colleges around the state are looking for in the college admissions process, talk with real college students about their experiences, and gain useful information related to upcoming Indiana Hot Jobs. Lunch, a t-shirt, and other fun prizes are included. Spots are limited to first come, first served. Sign up in Student Services or see Mrs. Moran with any questions.
Attention seniors, we are collecting a baby picture and a senior picture from each of you. Please drop them off in the office or send a digital copy to KP at kylep@monroecentral.org by April 11th.
The Art Association of Randolph County is hosting their annual High School Art Show! All high school students are encouraged to submit up to 2 artworks to show the creative spirit of Monroe Central. Categories for artwork include: drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, and recycled art. Artworks must be submitted to Ms. McClung by Wednesday, April 23rd. See Ms. McClung with any questions.

The lady bears softball team lost a hard fought game last night to Winchester. Jayme Brannan and Aleiyah Davis both had three hits for the Bears. Aleiyah Davis and Raegan Quattlebaum both hit triples.
The Golden Bear track teams were victorious Tuesday night against Wes-Del and Elwood.

Both girls and boys teams start their seasons 2-0. The Bears compete again this Saturday at the Raider Relays @ Wapahani High school.
The varsity Bears baseball team won 8-0 over Cambridge City Lincoln!!! Timely hitting led by Carter Duncan with 3 Hits and Isaac Middleton with 2 hits. The Bears tallied 10 hits off of Lincoln’s pitching. Myles Oliphant fanned 10 in his first Varsity outing to shut Lincoln hitters down. Great game Bears!!! Bears are back in action for our first conference game @ Blue River on Thursday!
