Daily Announcements 01/14/2022

Senior shirts will be available for pick up today after school and in the evenings the week of homecoming while working on decorations. The cost is $10.00 & if you write a check make it payable to MCHS.

The Class of 2025 will be staying after school today until 5:30pm to work on homecoming decorations. We will be meeting in Mrs. Willman’s classroom. If you have any questions see Mrs. Craig or send her a schoology message.

7th graders (Class of 2027) – if you want to help decorate the banner and hall decorations for Homecoming, please plan on staying after school today until 6:00pm. Please meet in the cafeteria.

Seniors – if you are wanting to go on the senior trip, the first payment of $150.00 is due today.

Auditions for the spring musical, Beauty and the Beast Jr., will be held in the Band Room on Wednesday, January 19th and Thursday, January 20th, after school until 5pm. Audition packets can be picked up in the front office. Please email Ms. Miner with any questions.

The Sophomore class will meet on Monday, January 17th at 9 am to 12pm in Mrs. Bootcheck’s room to begin working on our banner and hallway design for Homecoming. We will also be working after school Tuesday thru Thursday. Please bring art supplies and anything you think would be helpful in creating our banner and decorating our hallway.

There will be a Homecoming dance next Friday, January 21st, after the boys basketball game until 11pm. Cost is $3. If you plan on bringing a student from another school, please fill out a dance request form.

Monday – No School
Tuesday – Dress like a Teacher
Wednesday – Hollywood vs. Hippie
Thursday – Album Cover/Music Genre
Friday – Brown & Gold

On Saturday 2/12/22, Monroe Central will be hosting the 6th Annual IPMG/Special Olympics basketball invitational from 9AM to 4PM. Volunteers are needed for the following: referees, table captains, scorekeepers, runners, clean up and so much more so if you’re interested in volunteering, please see Mrs. Wines in room 144 for more details. Any help is appreciated!

The Purdue University Women in Engineering Program is sponsoring an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day on Saturday, Feb. 26th. This is a free event designed to increase interest in engineering among 9th and 10th grade students. It will be held at Purdue University in West Lafayette. Please see Mrs. Swift in Student Services for more information.
