After 1 day of dress up days:

6th place: 8th grade

5th place: 7th grade

4th place: 11th grade

3rd place: 10th grade

2nd place: 9th grade

1st place: 12th grade

High school winners: Maddox Taylor and Ella Simms

We will announce the junior high winner later.

Homecoming dress up days:

Thursday – Dress for the ages (dress any age)

Friday – Crazy brown and gold day

The 2024 Winter Homecoming Dance will be after the game on Friday 1/19 until 10:30PM.  This dance is open to grades 7-12 and will cost $5 at the door. If you are bringing a guest to the dance you will have to have a guest request form on file in the office for this year.

During homecoming week there will be a Bear Necessities competition! Donations such as hair care, body care, oral care, and feminine products will be accepted. There will be boxes in the cafeteria for each class’s donations!

Class of 2025 will be staying after school Wednesday and Thursday until 5pm. Please message Mrs. Meranda if you will be staying.

There will be a Sweetheart’s Dance on Saturday, February 10th from 7-9pm. Cost is $8 per person or $15 per couple. Dance request forms for students who do not attend MC are due back by Wednesday, February 7th.

After school tutoring will start back on Tuesday, January 23rd.

The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) is selling granola bars, 2 bars for $1.

Monroe Central JH wrestlers fell to Yorktown first round 12 to 79. The second round Golden Bears came back to pick up a 42-30 win over Union City Indians, and  another win over Burris owls 54-30. Bears are back into action next week. Good job Golden Bear Grapplers! GO BEARS! 

The Monroe Central 8th Grade Boys Basketball defeated Northeastern Tuesday night by a score of 44-35. It was a highly physical and intense matchup, as the Bears battled with the Knights from tip off till the final horn. Great team effort, ball movement, and defense helped guide the Bears to victory, as the Bears pulled away from the Knights in the 4th Quarter. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 26 and Weston Grove with 8. The Bears return to action next Monday as the host county and conference foe Randolph Southern.
