Daily Announcements 01/29/2025

All seniors need to report to the Main gym at 11:15am on Friday. This is mandatory.

The weight room will be closed for students after school today and tomorrow (Thursday).

Study Hall teachers will be collecting cash donations for Bear Necessities this week.  Every dollar collected earns your Class a Point toward the Homecoming Contest this week!  Today through Thursday!  We appreciate the support!

All students in grade 9-12 can vote for Homecoming Queen and King from the court candidates here.  Voting will remain open through the end of the school day on Thursday.  Vote here.

These are the dress up days for homecoming week:

Thursday: Rhyme With No Reason (e.g. one person dress like a dog and one person dress like a hog)

Friday: Crazy Brown and Gold Day  ***Seniors – please wear your class shirt and class colors (pink and teal).

The Yearbook Committee is meeting on Thursday, January 30th after school until 4:30 p.m. Please plan to attend. Your pages will be assigned for fall.  

The 2025 Winter Homecoming Dance will be after the boys JV/varsity basketball game on Friday, January 31st until 11PM. This dance is open to grades 7-12 and will cost $5 at the door. If you are bringing a guest who doesn’t go to our school we must have a signed dance request form back to the office by Wednesday, January 29th.

There will be a Semi-Formal Sweetheart’s Dance on Saturday, February 22nd from 7p-10p. This dance is only open to grades 9-12 and will cost $10 for a single ticket or $15 for a couple’s ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door. If you are bringing a guest who doesn’t go to our school we must have a signed dance request form back to the office by Wednesday, February 19th. 

On Sunday February 2nd, from 10AM to 5PM, the annual IPMG/Special Olympics basketball invitational will be held at Monroe Central High School. Special Olympics is looking for volunteers in various opportunities such as being a referee, score keeping, runners, clean up, concessions, etc. If you’re interested in volunteering, all day or half day, please send Mrs. Wines a message through Schoology or see her in room 144 to sign up.

5 Star Driver Education is offering driver education. Stop by the office to pick up an information sheet or go to www.fivestardrivered.com

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.
