Good morning. This is Mrs. Moran & Mrs. Northcutt, your school counselors, and this week, we are celebrating National School Counseling Week. As you know, our theme for this week is “Better Together.” Have you ever wondered how we know what’s been going on in your classrooms? Well, we spend a lot of time with your teachers. Together, we look for better ways to help you learn. When I’m worried or when I need a good laugh, I talk to my friends. And just like you, I have many friends right here in this school. The author of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” C.S. Lewis, said, “friendship is born at the moment when one person said to another, ‘What? You too? I thought I was the only one.’” We want to remind you that reaching out to your friends right now is very important. When you share your feelings with your friends, they’ll feel more comfortable sharing theirs. Being “better together” also means celebrating together, playing together, crying together, processing together and so much more. Sometimes making friends and being open in your friendships is difficult. Let’s talk about it. We have lots of ideas that might help. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
