The location is in room 110, the Foods Lab, near the Library. We will have bags for you to use, and extra items will be available that are not listed on our Request Form. Parents and students who are being recognized need to be at the high school by 6:30pm. You will meet in hall gym after the 3rd quarter of the JV game and will be recognized between the JV and varsity games. The Monroe Central High School Art Club is hosting a Cookies & Canvas fundraising event on Tuesday, March 5th from 5-7pm in the high school art room. Tickets are $20 and include a canvas, materials, painting lesson, and refreshments. Anyone is welcome to attend! Spots are limited. Please contact Ms. Lillian McClung via email or phone to reserve your spot. Middle School Track Practices will begin on Monday, March 11th. We will meet in the back of the high school cafeteria after school. All athletes must have a physical on file before they can participate in practice and FinalForms completed. Please come prepared for outdoor practice every day as we will go outside whenever possible Jerry’s is accepting applications for summer 2024. Students must be 14 yrs or older. Applications are in the office. Juniors: The Randolph County Youth Salute nomination forms are available in Student Services. If you’ve served in a position of leadership at school, church, or community-sponsored organization, please stop by and pick up a form. All forms are due back to Student Services by March 1st. Please see Mrs. Moran with any questions. After School Help is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4pm. The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) is selling granola bars, 2 bars for $1. The varsity bears fell behind early to the Indians 8-2 Tuesday night. Justus Ullom kept the bears in the game hitting 3, 3 pointers in the first half. The bears fell down by as many as 7 in the 2nd quarter. The bears outscored the Indians 21-11 to take a 4 point lead at halftime. The bears got the lead up to 7 in the 3rd quarter. The Indians came back to tie the score at 40. The bears outscored the Indians by 6 in the last 2 minutes of the quarter to take a 46-40 to the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter the bears pulled away and won the game 56-46. The bears were led in score by Easton Foster with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Justus Ullom added 12 points on 4 made 3 pointers. Josiah Cleveland added 11 points and 7 rebounds. The JV bears got off to a slow start against the Indians. The 1st quarter saw the bears and Indians tied at 9. The bears took a 4 point lead into halftime by out scoring the Indians 16-12. The 3rd quarter saw the bears added to their lead by outscoring the Indians by 1. In the 4th quarter the bears turned up the defense and held the Indians to just 8 points in the quarter. The bears won the game 52-41. Isaac Middleton paced the bears with a career high 18 points 8 rebounds. Braylon Anderson played a good game with 14 points and 3 assists. Cohen West added 11 points for the bears. The JH GOLDEN BEARS wrestling team traveled to Eastern Hancock Wednesday and fell short to the Royals. We were able to regroup and take down the Union City Indians with a nail biting win! To end the night we pinned down the Tri-High warriors. Great job wrestlers! They are back in action at Jay County Saturday! Sport Events None
