Prom Court voting will open later today on Schoology for the Class of 2025 and Class of 2024 and will run through 3pm this Friday May 3rd.

Your support will fund project-based learning throughout the business department. Flyers with links and QR codes are located throughout the school and on the desk outside Mrs. Bootcheck’s room. Orders close next Tuesday, April 30th, so order soon!

Prom tickets are for sale during lunch until Friday, May 3rd. Couples are $50 and singles $30. Prom is on May 11th at the Wedding Factory in Albany. Grand March will be at 4pm in the high school gym.

There will be a high school dodgeball tourney on Friday May 3 in the afternoon. The sign up forms are on your class schoology page. The teams consist of 8 students with at least 3 girls. The teams do not all have to consist of students from the same grade. There is a separate google form for those who want to play and have no team or for those with a partial team. A team can be put together. If you have questions, see Addison Coe, Maggie Haney, or Katie Osborne.

The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) is selling granola bars, 2 bars for $1.

The varsity softball team lost to Winchester Friday night 13-4. After battling the rain through 3 and 1/3 innings back on April 2nd, the rest of the game was finished today. Chelsea Erwin went 3-3 and Whitley Martin went 2-4. Jayme Brannan and Zoie Hood each added a hit. The Bears play at home Monday against Union County at 5:30p.

The Jr High MEC meet was hosted by MC on Friday night. Despite rain, that became heavy at times, the athletes all performed well. The Girls team came out on top and are MEC Champs in the 10 team conference. The Boys team came in 8th. Top performers were:

The varsity boys golf team traveled to Winchester for the Winchester Invite. The Bears shot a 343 (team low for the season) placing 6th out of 14 teams. The Bears faced tough competition with a couple ranked teams in the state such as Noblesville and Westfield. The Bears were led by Bentley Thornburg with an 83. Coltan West finished with an 86. Cohen West and Hayden Taylor finished with 87’s. Rigley Braun finished with a PB 91 with 2 birdies in the round. Really proud of these boys playing well in gusting winds and tough conditions.

The Golden Bear varsity track teams traveled to Bluffton High School Friday night to compete at the South Adams Invitational.The Boys placed 5th and the girls placed 6th in their respective meets. The team score is not an indication of how good the night was for the Bears on the track. Many season best times were achieved! Scoring Performances:

4x400m Relay – (Chamness, Puckett, Watson, Phelps) – (4th Place)

The Bears participate next at the Randolph County Championships Thursday (5/2) at Winchester High School.
