Prom tickets are for sale during lunch until Friday, May 3rd. Couples are $50 and singles $30. Prom is on May 11th at the Wedding Factory in Albany. Grand March will be at 4pm in the high school gym. Don’t forget to fill out a dance request form if your date does not go to our school. Forms are due back by Wednesday, May 8th.

Monroe Central yearbooks for this school year are still available for sale – but MUST be purchased by 5/13 at the very latest. The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) is selling granola bars, 2 bars for $1.
The varsity softball team lost to the Blackhawks Tuesday night. Jayme Brannan went 2-3. Zoie Hood, Aubrey Johnson, Whitley Martin, and Ailey Moon each added a hit. J. Brannan, Johnson, and Martin all added a stolen base, while Moon added 2 stolen bases. Martin also added an RBI. Jayme Brannan had a stellar defensive performance with no passed balls and 1 caught stealing. The Bears are back in action Wednesday at home against Southern Wells.
The boys varsity golf team traveled to Crestview to take on Daleville in a match on Tuesday afternoon. The Bears switched things up and played match play and won all 5 pairings. The Bears were led by medalist Coltan West winning his match 5 up with 4 holes to play (5&4). Cohen West won his match 4&2. Bentley Thornburg and Hayden Taylor won their matches 3&2. Rigley Braun won his matchup 2&1. The Bears will travel to Winchester on Saturday looking to win a county championship.
