Monroe Central High School will be hosting IHSAA sports physicals on May 30th with Dr. Lumpkin. The cost is $20 and must be paid when signing up with Mrs. Murray in the HS office. 

Seniors: Graduation practice will take place Friday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m.  We will need everyone there that is planning to walk at graduation.

Prom tickets are for sale during lunch until Friday, May 3rd. Couples are $50 and singles $30. Prom is on May 11th at the Wedding Factory in Albany. Grand March will be at 4pm in the high school gym. Don’t forget to fill out a dance request form if your date does not go to our school. Forms are due back by Wednesday, May 8th.

Monroe Central yearbooks for this school year are still available for sale – but MUST be purchased by 5/13 at the very latest. The cost is $75, and customizations can be done on the weblink (https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/productBrowse/1072508/Monroe-Central-Junior-Senior-High-School/2024-Yearbook/20230927082027553121/CATALOG_SHOP) Questions and cash orders should be brought to Mr. Sims. 

Seniors: Please do not forget to check the Student Services Senior Schoology Group periodically. There are many postings of scholarship opportunities, college events, apprenticeship programs, graduation requirement information and more. Do not miss out on an opportunity! Please see Mrs. Swift in Student Services with any questions.

After School Help is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4pm.

The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) is selling granola bars, 2 bars for $1.

The varsity softball team lost a hard fought game to Southern Wells 6-4. Macy Cummins and Chelsea Erwin each collected two hits on the day. The Bears were patient at the plate with 5 walks for the game. Zoie Hood and Ailey Moon each added a hit. The Bears defense were impressive with only one error and two double plays. The Bears are back in action tomorrow at Centerville at 5:30p.
