Juniors and Seniors – Prom Court voting is posted. Please vote by 10am Wednesday from Prom Prince and Princess, and King and Queen for the nominees.

Juniors and Seniors going to prom –  If you are bringing someone who does not attend Monroe Central, they MUST bring a picture ID with them to prom. 

Prom picture order forms are in the office.

Juicy Jakes Smashburgers is looking for workers age 16 and older who want to work this summer. Applications available at 700 E McGalliard Rd, Muncie, IN 47303.

Monroe Central High School will be hosting IHSAA sports physicals on May 30th with Dr. Lumpkin. The cost is $20 and must be paid when signing up with Mrs. Murray in the HS office. 

Seniors: Graduation practice will take place Friday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m.  We will need everyone there that is planning to walk at graduation. Graduation picture order forms are in the office.

Monroe Central yearbooks for this school year are still available for sale – but MUST be purchased by 5/13 at the very latest. Seniors: Please do not forget to check the Student Services Senior Schoology Group periodically. There are many postings of scholarship opportunities, college events, apprenticeship programs, graduation requirement information and more. Do not miss out on an opportunity! Please see Mrs. Swift in Student Services with any questions.

After School Help is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4pm.

The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) is selling granola bars, 2 bars for $1.

The Golden Bear track teams competed at the Randolph County Championships at Winchester High School Thursday night 5/2/24. The Girls finished 3rd, while the Boys won the meet, and 4-peat as RANDOLPH COUNTY CHAMPIONS!

The Bears hit the road to Elwood to compete Tuesday night (5/7) against Wes-Del and Elwood!

The Jr High Track teams ran in a 2 way meet on Thursday against Cowan. The Girls team came in 1st place, the Boys team placed 2nd.

The varsity bears softball team lost to Union City in the county tournament 9-2. Mak Brainerd, Aubrey Johnson, Jayme Brannan, Chelsea Erwin, Ailey Moon, and Whitley Martin each had a hit for the Bears. Kloee Brannan went the distance on the mound for the Bears. Aubrey Johnson won the Monte Cowan Sportsmanship Award for the tournament. The Bears are back in action at Northeastern on Monday at 5:30p

The varsity bears golf team traveled to Winchester Golf Club for the County Championship this weekend. The Bears won the championship with a season low of 321 and had a win margin of an impressive 77 strokes. The Bears were led by Sophomore Cohen West with a 4-over par 76 which earned him the individual county champion title. Runner up was Senior Bentley Thornburg with a 77. 3rd place went to Senior Coltan West with a 78. Hayden Taylor finished 7th with a 90 and Rigley Braun finished 9th with a 95. All 5 Bears took All-County honors with the Bears taking the top 3 spots! The Bears will look to add some another piece of hardware next weekend at MEC.
