Daily Announcements 05/21/2024

Attention, those interested in running high school cross country in the fall. There will be a parent and student/runner meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00pm. We will meet outside at the south end of the track at the concession.

Monroe Central High School will be hosting IHSAA sports physicals on May 30th with Dr. Lumpkin. The cost is $20 and must be paid when signing up with Mrs. Murray in the HS office. 

Seniors: Graduation practice will take place Friday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m.  We will need everyone there that is planning to walk at graduation. Graduation picture order forms are in the office.

Juicy Jakes Smashburgers is looking for workers age 16 and older who want to work this summer. Applications available at 700 E McGalliard Rd, Muncie, IN 47303.

The Albany Vet Clinic will be hiring students for work this summer. Anyone interested needs to stop by the vet office and fill out an application.

There are many postings of scholarship opportunities, college events, apprenticeship programs, graduation requirement information and more. Do not miss out on an opportunity! The JV Boys Golf team traveled to Albany Golf Club on Monday to take on Delta’s JV. The Bears won the match 197-198 by one stroke! The Bears were led by Gabe Rees shooting a 44. Maddox Taylor and Dylan Summers finished with 49’s. Max Wagner shot a 55. Carson Cruse shot a 56. Senior Night is tomorrow against Wes-Del at Hickory Hills.

Strong pitching performance by Levi Pence striking out 12 over 6 innings. The Bears were lead in hitting by Luedike, Pence, Cooper, Baker, and Middleton all with multiple hit games. Congratulations to Isaac Middleton on his first career home run!
