There will be a junior high FFA call out meeting in the Ag room today @ C lunch.

If you are an Out of District student that received the Out of District form, please return the completed form to Mrs. Swift in Student Services as soon as possible.

Seniors – It’s time to decide on your class song and your class quote/motto. Please go to your Class of 2023 Schoology Group and comment with your suggestions. The deadline to do so will be Tuesday, Sept. 4th. Once all of your ideas are collected, your class president, Karly Puckett will be organizing a Google form for final voting. Thanks for your input!

Class of 2027 – You will be getting a fundraiser/donation form in Mr. Ferguson’s class. Please make sure your parents receive this information.

7th and 8th grade students, this is a reminder that candy bar sales will end on September 6.

Louie’s Tux Shop is sponsoring the 10th Annual statewide Model Search this Fall. Please see the posters that are hung throughout the school for more information. Don’t miss this opportunity for a $1,000 scholarship.

The Annual Molecular Medicine In Action program will be held on March 5-6, 2023. The program is FREE of charge, sponsored by Lilly Endowment and conducted by Indiana University School of Medicine faculty. The goal of the symposium is to increase students’ excitement for science, increase the number of students that ultimately select science as a career choice, and provide hands-on learning in a state-of-the art medical research environment. Nominations for sophomore, junior and/or senior high school students to participate in the program will be accepted until November 11, 2022. The Lady Bear Golf Team defeated Union and Union City last evening at Hickory Hills. Low for the Bears was Carol Anne Kritsch. The girls will compete on Thursday in the county tournament at Winchester Golf Club. Go Bears!

JH Bears football won against Union City. 32 – 7. Caleb Leudike had a great game 168 yards rushing with 1 touchdown. Kaiden Dance had a great receiving game with 78 receiving yards and 1 rushing touchdown. They will play again next Wednesday against Shenandoah.
