Daily Announcements 09/12/2022

Over the past week, we have had an increase in the number of referrals for dress code violations. We ask that each student review the dress code policy again. You can find that slideshow on the school website or check the printed announcements for the link.

All high school students (grades 9-12) are invited to the Harvest Semi-Formal dance on Saturday, October 1st from 8pm-11pm. Cost of tickets will be $15 for couples and $8 for a single. Tickets can be purchased during lunch starting the week of September 26th and will also be sold at the door the night of the dance. If you plan on bringing a student from another school, please fill out a dance request form and have it returned to the office before September 30th.

The Monroe Central chapter of National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive on Friday, September 30th. Donors must be at least 16 years old. Students 17 years old and over can sign up without parent permission forms. 16 year old students may sign up, but require a parent permission form to be completed. Permission forms may be obtained in the office. Students may register online – check the printed announcements in Schoology for the link. We have also posted the link along with the announcement on the Monroe Central Jr.-Sr. High School mass group page in Schoology. See Mrs. Ulrey if you have any questions.

7th and 8th grade students, candy bar sales have ended and money is due at this time.

Greatness continues with the Jr High Cross Country teams. Both teams finished in first place with the girls competing against 13 teams and 117 runners and the boys running against 17 teams and 160 runners. Leading the MC girls was Abby Thomas, who finished in 2nd place overall. Aberee Ervin wasn’t far behind in 3rd place. Andi Watson moved up to the number 3 spot, finishing in 11th place overall followed by Brylie Tinsman in 12th place. Brynlee Patterson was in the 5th spot, finishing 29th. Oaklie Davis ran well to be the number 7 for MC and 45th overall. Jackson Wines continued to lead the boys team, finishing in 3rd place overall. Alexander Coe finished in 10th place and Jed Ferguson was close behind at 11th place. Zadok Lloyd continues to recover from a knee injury, finishing in a strong 16th place. Wyatt Daniels continues to hold the 5th spot for MC, coming in 37th place. Stephen Stockwell raced to the finish line to come in 47th overall and in the important number 7 spot for MC.
