Daily Announcements 09/13/2022

FFA mum sales will end this Thurs. Sept. 15th. Sales forms will be due at this time.

Students are reminded that unless they are with an adult after school, they are not to be staying after school and hanging out.

Congratulations to the FFA livestock skill-a-thon teams who participated recently in the area contest at Richmond. The senior team of Camryn Friend, Max Wagner, and Maddox Taylor placed 12th out of 36 teams,and the junior team of Bentley Pegg, Brynlee Patterson, Brylie Tinsman, and Corbin Lester placed 5th out of 12 teams. Max placed 22nd out of 140 senior individuals, and Corbin finished 2nd out of 44 junior individuals! Great job to everyone!

Over the past week, we have had an increase in the number of referrals for dress code violations. We ask that each student review the dress code policy again. You can find that slideshow on the school website or check the printed announcements for the link.

All high school students (grades 9-12) are invited to the Harvest Semi-Formal dance on Saturday, October 1st from 8pm-11pm. Cost of tickets will be $15 for couples and $8 for a single. Tickets can be purchased during lunch starting the week of September 26th and will also be sold at the door the night of the dance. If you plan on bringing a student from another school, please fill out a dance request form and have it returned to the office before September 30th.

The Monroe Central chapter of National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive on Friday, September 30th. Donors must be at least 16 years old. Students 17 years old and over can sign up without parent permission forms. 16 year old students may sign up, but require a parent permission form to be completed. Permission forms may be obtained in the office. Students may register online – check the printed announcements in Schoology for the link. We have also posted the link along with the announcement on the Monroe Central Jr.-Sr. High School mass group page in Schoology. See Mrs. Ulrey if you have any questions.

7th and 8th grade students, candy bar sales have ended and money is due at this time.

The girls golf team got beat on Monday evening by Wapahani at Hickory Hills. The weather conditions were horrible and the team was short handed. The highlight of the night was Ariana Poe got her 9 hole PR. Tonight is senior night at Hickory. We will be honoring seniors Carol Anne Kritsch and Lauren Skinner.
