Tough day for the Golden Bears as they fought an uphill battle forfeiting 7 weight classes. Led by Sophomore Hunter Page who went 5-0 and followed closely by Junior Jonah Jones whom went 4-1, whose only loss was to a state ranked and former state qualifier Gabe Phillips in which he was leading until he got caught in the second period.
Wrestling team goes 1-4 at Jay County Super Duels losing two matches by tiebreaker F which is the team giving up the most forfeits.
Team score between Monroe Central and Union City was 24-14 Monroe Central winning.

The boys varsity basketball team played 4 games over the holiday break going 3 and 1.
The boys beat Lapel 57-49 – Hagerstown 58-25 – Daleville 70-38 – Then the boys fell at Hamilton Heights 81-68.
Over the 4 games the boys were led by:
Jackson Ullom Averaging 20pts, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds
Gavin Smithson Burciaga averaging 17 pts and 12 rebounds
Luke Jones averaging 10 points and 2 assists.
Joey Ullom averaging 8 pts, 2 steals, and 2 assists.
Other contributors have been Caden Shumaker getting hot from the 3pt line, Cole Munchel, Khaner Phillips and Gavin Patterson with some great minutes.
The boys host Winchester on Wednesday in a BIG county game.
