Haidyn Knott led the way with 8 aces, while Izzy McGrath followed closely with 7 aces. Anna Wines contributed 3 aces and delivered several great passes. The Lady Bears now look ahead to the Randolph County Tournament, where they aim to finish their season strong.

The JH football Golden Bears capped off their season with a 16-12 win over rival Wes-Del. The Bears secured and 16-0 before halftime and were able to control the clock in the 2nd half to hang on for the win.

The Panthers from Eastbrook made their way to the Bear Den on 10/3/24 for a matchup against our Golden Bears.  The JV team started out in a nice matchup but Eastbrook was able to get the edge and won in two sets with scores of 15-25 and 12-25.

Our Varsity Golden Bears were reunited on the floor last night free of injury and ready to compete after some focused practices this week.  They definitely came out in set one ready to compete and it was an exciting set to watch.  This Panther team was well rounded and they ended up winning the match in three sets with scores of 19-25, 12-25 and 19-25.  Coaches were very pleased with the performance of our Golden Bears in sets 1 and 3 as they showed some definite signs of improvement and growth with their willingness to compete and defensively read the ball.  Of special note tonight was Junior Addi Grove. Addi was able to return to the floor tonight after recovering from her ankle injury.  She put up some impressive stats with 1 ace, 3 kills, 4 receptions, 1 block, and 7 digs.  Aside from that, she is the player of the match because of her mental game tonight.  No matter how tough things got, she kept a positive frame of mind and stayed aggressive ready to go after the next ball.  Also impressive stats were made from Junior Sophia Bolton with 1 ace, 17 assists and 10 digs, along with Junior Shyan Bennett having 9 kills, 22 receptions and 13 digs. Our Lady Golden Bears remain in action over Fall Break having 3 matches next week.  The first will be on Monday (10/7) when we travel to take on the Rebels of Randolph Southern.  JV is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.
