There will be a call out meeting for the high school Academic Team on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the beginning of study hall in Room 114. Message Mrs. Smiley with any questions.
Anchor Club is collecting new socks for Socktober. Donations will be going to the Journey Home and there is a box for donations in the front office. We also will be in Parker at the Family Dollar on the morning of October 28th collecting socks as well.
Monroe Central Jr/Sr High School is hosting a Fall Family Night on Thursday, October 26th, from 6-7:15 PM, with the band concert to follow at 7:30 PM. We want to invite all parents and guardians to visit the school with their children to see the building, meet their teachers, and view the Art Showcase. Also available in Student Services will be the opportunity for a technology assistant to set up a PowerSchool parent account and answer other technology questions. If families have younger students, there will be childcare available in room 143 that will be supervised by an adult with childcare experience and students for our NHS chapter. Please feel free to drop off younger students while you tour the school from 6-7:15 PM.
The Monroe Central Scholarship Fund, Inc. Sadie Hawkins/Halloween Dance will be Saturday, October 28th from 7 pm to 10 pm. Dance request forms are due back to the school no later than Wednesday, October 25th. Students not from Monroe Central will need to bring a picture ID with them.
Crabtree Photography will be taking pictures for the dance. To order pictures, pick up an order form in the front office or in Student Services or you can click on the link below to order online.

Monroe Central Youth Cheerleading presents Boots & Beauties, a father daughter dance on November 18th from 7pm-9pm at the MC Elementary Gym. Monroe Central students Pre-k through HS Seniors are invited to come. Cost is $20, each additional daughter is $5.
After school help will be every Tuesday and Thursday. This is for all grades and all subjects. It will be held in room 118.
MCCTA is still selling beef sticks before school and after school in the junior high and high school hallways (outside room 110) and in Mrs. Van Pelt’s room.
The Golden Bear Football team won its third game in a row at Union City in the sectional opener. This was the fourth win in the last five games to evening the record at 5-5. Special congrats to the Ullom twins going over 200 rushing yards each. The Bear’s play this week at home in round 2 against Wes-Del.
The girls cross country team and Eli Chamberlain competed in the regional meet at the Plex in Fort Wayne on Saturday! Eli ran an amazing time of 16:50 placing 42nd in a highly competitive race. The girls team finished their season placing 17th as a team! Addison Coe finished 50th with a time of 20:03. Avery Thomas, Katie Osborne, Gracie Baker, Mackenzie Pryor, Addy Puckett, and Ailey Moon also ran extremely well for the Bears. A special thank you to our seniors for amazing careers and dedication: Eli Chamberlain, Nathan Daniels, Zayne Sampley, Grant Rees, Addison Coe, Katie Osborne, Gracie Baker, and Mackenzie Pryor. We are so proud of you and the careers each of you had on the MCXC team!
