The November FFA chapter meeting will be held November 20th at 5pm in Room 150.
On Tuesday evening Nov. 12, the area crops, forestry, and entomology CDE contests were held at Wayne County Fairgrounds. Crops participants were: Andi Watson, Leah Rice, Hayden Trego, Case Chalfant, and Megan DeVoss. Team placed 2nd and Andi placed 2nd individually.
Entomology participant was Zoie Hood, and she placed 6th individually. Forestry participants were AJ Dodson, Caiden Walker, and Peyton Cummins who placed 14th as a team. Great job to everyone on your hard work!
Attention High School Student Council Members: The High School Student Council Group has a link on Schoology for you to order this year’s t-shirt. At this time, only 1 person has ordered. Please, order your shirt today! The deadline is November 20th.
The high school business class is having an MC apparel fundraiser. Order forms are in the office and will be accepted through November 22nd. Orders will arrive before Christmas.
There will be a blood drive at the high school on December 3, 2024 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Please scan the code on the flyers that are posted around the school or see Mrs. Ulrey to sign up.
Masque and Gavel would like to invite you to go back in time to a town not unlike Parker City and Farmland—Grover’s Corner, New Hampshire. Join us Friday night at 7pm, Saturday at 2pm and 7pm come live a few years in the lives of the Gibbs and Webb families as we present a simpler time in Our Town. Prices at the door will be $12 for priority seating or $7 for general seating. You can find more information on Facebook under Monroe Central Masque and Gavel.
Seniors will have the opportunity to paint their own ceiling tile and leave their mark here at MC! The tiles will be displayed outside of the main gym just in time for basketball season!
Painting will happen in the art room from 3:15 – 5:30pm on the following days:

Wednesday, Nov. 20th
All seniors are welcome! No artistic ability necessary!
There will be a semi formal dance for grades 9-12 on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 7-10pm at the high school. Tickets will be sold at the door, couples $15 and single $8. If you are bringing a student from a different school please fill out a dance request form and have it back to the school by Wednesday, November 20.

On December 7th from 5 pm-9 pm Parker City is having a Christmas Event and would love for you to be a part of it. After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.
The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm.

The Monroe Central Lady Bears picked up their second win on the season by defeating Daleville 51-35 in their home opener. Avery Thomas led the Bears with 13 points and 5 assists. Brynlee Patterson followed with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Addy Puckett finished the game with 9 points and a team high 8 rebounds. The Lady Bears finished the first half with a 5 point lead but quickly came out in the second half and pushed the lead to 20 points at the end of the 3rd quarter to seal the win. The Bears are back in action on Saturday for a 12 noon tip @ Muncie Burris. Go Bears
Quattlebaum finishes 2nd at the Raider Round-Up. Raegan went 2-1 at Shenandoah HS dropping her first match 5-11 to her Richmond opponent before rebounding in her 2nd and 3rd matches against Shenandoah and Eastern Hancock. Scoring two 1st period pins both in under a minute to finish 2nd. Your Lady Golden Bears compete at Daleville in the Bronco Classic this Saturday.
