Daily Announcements 11/22/2024

There will be a semi formal dance for grades 9-12 on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 7-10pm at the high school. Tickets will be sold at the door, couples $15 and single $8. If you are bringing a student from a different school please fill out a dance request form and have it back to the school by Wednesday, November 20.

This is a community event for all Randolph County students in grades 8th to 12th. It will be a fun and supportive evening! Enjoy a movie, a small drink, and popcorn.

There will be a blood drive at the high school on December 3, 2024 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Please scan the code on the flyers that are posted around the school or see Mrs. Ulrey to sign up.

Would you like to raise money for your class or organization or be in a parade (Anything on Wheels counts) for FREE? On December 7th from 5 pm-9 pm Parker City is having a Christmas Event and would love for you to be a part of it. Please contact Mrs. Greer if you are interested and have any questions or to reserve your spot! Also please share with anyone you think might be interested. 

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.

The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm.

The 7th grade boys basketball team was defeated by Yorktown 63-26. Leum Butler scored 11, Knox Myers scored 6. The boys look to bounce back next Monday as they travel to Driver for their first away game of the season. 

The 8th grade Golden Bears had a slow start to the game and went into halftime down 27-12. In the 3rd quarter the boys went down 26 but fought hard and played great defense in the fourth quarter and were able to get the deficit down to 14. They ended up losing 43-26. The team was led in scoring by Miles Gross with 12. Gross was followed by Alex Middleton with 6, Braylynn Hunt with 3, Carter Lucies with 3 and Dallas Frantz rounded out the scoring with 2. 

The 7th grade Lady Bears traveled Randolph Southern and off to a slow start leading at halftime 12-4. The team came inspired in the second half out scoring the Rebels 15-0 in the 3rd quarter and cruising to a 35-6 win. Izzy McGrath led the team with 12, Landry Taylor 5, Claire Cheeseman 4, Gracie McCreery 3, and 2 each from Mila Morris, Lillie Moery, Mati McConnell and Brynlee Dumpert. The Bears will take the Driver Hawks at home on Monday.

The 8th grade Lady Bears traveled to Randolph Southern for an MEC matchup against the county rival Rebels. Tight rims and cold shooting plagued MC throughout the contest, with the Bears trailing 12 points with just over a minute left in the game. Tough defense led to a last minute comeback that came up just a point short, with MC falling to the host Rebels 28-29. The late game charge was led by Lucy Huston’s 8 points in the final minutes and 12 overall. Mati McConnell added 9 points. Landry Taylor added 3 in the final minute and Gracie McCreery and Lillie Moery both added 2. Brynlee Dumpert, Bristol Goad, Ada Wagner, Arianna Carroll and Elena Simms all played tough and contributed defensively. The Lady Bears play host to Driver on Monday, November 25th.
