Grades 9-12, mark your calendar for the Winter Formal Dance on December 30th, 2022. Tickets will start being sold the week before winter break, or at the door.

The MC Academy is sponsoring a Food Drive during the month of November and start of December with all food items being donated for Christmas food assistance through the Rex Amburn Memorial Food Drive within the MC Community. This year’s annual food drive will be a COMPETITION between grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and the teachers & staff.
–You need to bring in the listed item of the day to get a point for that day.
–For each food item you donate to your grade’s box your class will receive one (1) point.
–For each dollar you donate to your grade’s jar your class will receive one (1) point.
–If you donate an item that is not on the list for that day to another grade’s box they will lose a point.
–The class with the most points will win a prize for each student.

The Monroe Central 7th grade basketball team cruises to a record of 2-1 after defeating the Daleville Broncos 53-24. A strong game all together pushed the Bears to a MEC conference victory. Strong defense and excellent teamwork helped notch the Bears their second victory of the season. Luke Morgan led the Bears in scoring with 20 points, while Myles Oliphant added 7, Carter Morris and Eli Friend scored 6, Peyton Chamness and Weston Grove with 4, and Case Chalfant, Braedon Thornburg, Casen Morris, and Cooper Huston tallied 2. The Bears are back in action on Wednesday at home in Hall Gym against Hagerstown.

The 8th grade boys basketball team got their first win last night with a 33 to 21 win over Daleville. The boys had a much better effort on defense limiting the Broncos to 9 2nd half points. Maddox Taylor with 12 and Pierceton Erwin with 9 points led 6 Bears in the scoring department. The Bears return to action on Wednesday night at home against Hagerstown.
