Grades 9-12, mark your calendar for the Winter Semi-Formal Dance on December 30th, 2022. Tickets will start being sold the week before winter break, or at the door.
The MC Academy is sponsoring a Food Drive during the month of November and start of December with all food items being donated for Christmas food assistance through the Rex Amburn Memorial Food Drive within the MC Community. This year’s annual food drive will be a COMPETITION between grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and the teachers & staff.
–You need to bring in the listed item of the day to get a point for that day.
–For each food item you donate to your grade’s box your class will receive one (1) point.
–For each dollar you donate to your grade’s jar your class will receive one (1) point.
–If you donate an item that is not on the list for that day to another grade’s box they will lose a point.
–The class with the most points will win a prize for each student.
Below is a list for each day. This list will be available in the cafeteria as well.
Thursday, Dec 1- Chicken Noodle Soup

The grappling Golden Bears season begins with a win, while participant numbers are low this season, first year wrestler Junior Clay Smith wrestling in his first match ever came away as the victor. The following were triumphant as well in the opener for the Golden Bears: 160 Junior Cade Goodrich, 182 Senior Hunter Page, 195 Senior Kolten Tinsman.
Monroe Central Jr. High girls won Tuesday night against Shenandoah Middle school 40-22. It was a very good game with everyone contributing to the win. Aberee Ervin led the team with 15 points, Olivia Conklin and Brynlee Patterson followed with 8 each, Oaklei Davis had 6, Haidyn Dumpert had 2, and Charlee Morris had 1. Following the 8th grade game there were two extra quarters played for the 7th grade. Monroe Central won 18-6 with Charlee Morris leading the way with 6.
