We will be having “Food Drive Dress Up Days” this week for the Rex Amburn food drive. Please bring a can of food each day and dress up on the following days:

For just $1, you can ditch the traditional school attire and swap it for your favorite festive PJs. That’s right, we’re giving you the chance to roll out of bed and head straight to school in comfort while supporting a great cause! (Just remember to follow the school’s dress code!)

There will be a “Mental Health Monday Bowling Night” on December 16th from 6-8pm at the Winchester Bowl ~ 960 E Washington Street, Winchester, IN 47394. This is free for Randolph County Teens in grades 8th – 12th.
After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.
The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm.

Your grappling Lady Golden Bears finished in 7th as a team. All 3 represented Monroe in the finals. Raegan Quattlebaum battled through being sick to capture the 130lb title, Kiara Lawrence recorded a couple first period pins to finish 1st in the 190 division, and Chelsea Erwin finished as the Runner-up in the 155 class. All 3 girls received multiple compliments from other coaches and wrestles representing the program and Monroe Central with great class and character. Your Lady Golden Bears will compete alongside the boys at Muncie Central on December 16th.
The boys JV team started the game solid and went into halftime with a 22-20 lead. The Golden Bears played hard and went into the 4th quarter with a 7-point lead. The Broncos went on a run to start the fourth quarter, and this was unfortunately too much for the boys. They ended up losing the game 50-45. The Golden Bears were led in scoring by Cohen West with 19.
The varsity boys team had a slow first quarter but were able to turn it around and go into halftime up 31-20. The Golden Bears came out of halftime ready to go and were able to continue this the whole half winning 75-59. The Golden Bears played great team defense and were able to get 7 players to score. The Bears were led in scoring by Easton Foster with 33. Foster was followed by Luke Morgan with 17.
