Daily Announcements 12/16/2024

The girls and boys County Basketball Tournament will be held at Winchester Community H.S. Field House on January 8th-11th, 2025. Presale all session tickets are being sold from December 16th-20th in the high school office from 8am-3pm and on January 7th from 8am-3pm and January 8th from 8am-noon. All session tickets cost $15 and can be used all 4 nights of the tournament. Single session tickets purchased at the door will be $7. 

There will be a “Mental Health Monday Bowling Night” tonight from 6-8pm at the Winchester Bowl, 960 E Washington Street, Winchester, IN 47394. This is free for Randolph County Teens in grades 8th – 12th.

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.

The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm.

The varsity Golden Bears went to Muncie Central Field-house to play in the Muncie City Classic and came out of the gates hot getting up 10-3 early in the first quarter. The Bears played solid for the rest of the half but the Warriors got hot to end the first half and the Bears went into halftime down 31-28. The Bears came out with a lot of energy and played very hard in the second half to end up winning 68-61. The team was led in scoring by Easton Foster with 30,  Foster also won the game MVP. He was followed by Luke Morgan with 20. The Bears improve to 3-1 for the season with this win. 

Your Grappling Golden Bears did some work this past weekend. Varsity traveled to Richmond HS for the Tom Hill Invite going 3-2.  Tom Hill Invite Champions were Sophomore Cory Brown Jr who ran his season record to 8-0, Sophomore Kaden Sullivan and Senior Jerimiah Ullom who both now stand at 7-1.  Finishing up as a Runner-up was Sophomore Christian Erwin who is also 7-1 now.  Senior Landen Tinsman and Sophomores Lane Whitehead, Grant Linville and Freshman Corbin Taylor, Tyler Erwin and Eli King all battled and improved.

Junior Varsity traveled to Alexandria finishing 3-1 and as the runner-up was sophomore Tristian Epperhart, finishing in 3rd place freshman Donnie Stiening and in 4th place were sophomore Caden Shockney and freshman Canyon Burks.  Your Golden Bears both the Boys and Girls teams will compete at and against Muncie Central Monday evening at 6pm.
