The girls and boys County Basketball Tournament will be held at Winchester Community H.S. Field House on January 8th-11th, 2025. Presale all session tickets are being sold from December 16th-20th in the high school office from 8am-3pm and on January 7th from 8am-3pm and January 8th from 8am-noon. All session tickets cost $15 and can be used all 4 nights of the tournament. Single session tickets purchased at the door will be $7.

After school tutoring will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4pm in room 115 or 118.
The weight room will be open for students after school on Monday through Thursday each week from 3:15-4:15pm.

The wrestling Bears lost to the Bearcats 33-39. Winners for the Golden Bears were Christian Erwin, Jerimiah Ullom, Cory Brown Jr, Landon Tinsman, Kaden Sullivan and Tristian Epperhart on the boys side. Raegan Quattlebaum and Chelsea Erwin earned pins for the ladies. Big shout out to freshman Donovan Steining for accepting the challenge and stepping up to the varsity level and earning his first varsity victory. The team continues to grow and improve. Next up traveling to Centerville Dec 17.
The 8th Grade Lady Bears hosted Cowan in the Bear Den on Monday evening and defeated the Blackhawks 21-15 and improved their record to 8-1. Lucy Huston got the Bears off to a quick start, scoring all 6 of her points in the first quarter. Mati McConnell led all scorers with 7. Gracie McCreery, Ada Wagner, Lillie Moery and Mila Morris each added 2 points. Bristol Goad and Arrianna Carroll both played tough defense and made hustle plays throughout the game. The Lady Bears play host to Delta on Wednesday evening, GO BEARS!!!
The 7th grade Golden Bears travelled to Union City and controlled the entire game winning 52-4. All of our Golden Bears scored in this win. They look to continue their winning streak Wednesday at home against Lapel. Leading scorers were Leum Butler with 13 and Knox Myers with 9 and Elijah Keeley with 6. Parker Morris, Ryder Slaven, Ashton Dance, and Greyson Wiles scored 4 points. Mason Gilliam, Lleyton Redmon, Liam Whitehead, and Landre McCoy scored 2 points.
The 8th grade Golden Bears went on the road to union city and got out to a quick start. The Bears went into halftime up 25-9. The boys continued this play in the second half and won the game 48-23. Miles Gross led all scorers with 19. He was followed by Braylynn Hunt with 13. The 8th grade team improves to 7-2.
