Here are the Spring Spirit dress up days for May 1-5:

Monday: Pajama Day

Tuesday: Jersey Day

Wednesday: Adam Sandler Day

Thursday: Character Day

Friday: Brown and Gold Day

Attention Seniors – Senior Workday T-shirts will be passed out on WEDNESDAY 5/10. Senior Work day is Friday, 5/12 from 8:30 – 12:00 with lunch to follow at the football field. This year we will be working in Parker City, Farmland, and the Conservation Club. Group Sign-up forms are now on the Senior class Schoology page.

The Monroe Central High School Art Club is hosting a Cookies & Canvas fundraising event on Tuesday, May 9th from 6-8pm in the high school art room. Tickets are $20 and include a canvas, materials, painting lesson, and refreshments. Spots are limited! Please contact Ms. Lillian McClung via email or phone to reserve your spot. 

Juniors and Seniors, prom 2023’s theme is “A Night on Cloud 9.” Prom Bids are on sale during A lunch until May 12th. A single ticket is $20, and a couple is $40.

Seniors: The cookout traditionally follows your graduation rehearsal and is held under the concession stand pavilion. We will have prize giveaways for those who attend. Please go to your “Seniors 2023” Schoology group page & fill out the cookout survey by May 3rd.  (Your graduation rehearsal & cookout will be Friday, June 2nd.)  Thank you! 

The teachers’ association is selling beef sticks before and after school. Mrs. Van Pelt will be outside room 110 each morning selling and in her room (115) after school.

MC Baseball lost to Wes-Del last evening, 11-1.  We had hard contact all game at the plate but was unable to get much to drop. The boys had great AB’s forcing the Wes-Del starting pitcher to triple his total walks for the season and hitting it hard all over the field. Monroe Central plays Muncie Central Friday at 5:00PM. Standouts:  Easton Foster 2 1/3ip 1H 0ER 4K 3BB, Peyton Farmer 1-1 1 Double 1BB, Levi Pence 1-2 1R 1BB, Lane Wilson Multiple highlight defensive plays including a far ranging catch against the fence in foul territory. 

The Softball Bears lost to Wes-Del on the road Thursday. Caylie Newsome and Miriam Fortriede each added a hit for the Bears. They are back in action on Monday at Union County. 

JH Golf defeated Selma 146 to 163. Top 5 scores were Cooper Huston: 34, Aberee Ervin: 34, Case Chalfant: 35, Charlee Morris: 43, Hogan Hendrickson: 43.
