The Golden Bear Varsity Baseball Team won a county championship this weekend defeating Randolph Southern in Game 1 by a score of 20-1 and then defeated Winchester in the championship 7-0. Ashton Bandy through a 5 inning no-hitter in game one and had 4 RBIs at the plate. In the championship, Bryce Deckman pitched a complete game two-hitter while going 2 for 2 at the plate with a homerun and 3 runs scored. Overall, a great team effort in claiming the county title.

The boys golf team also took home the County Championship on Saturday at Hickory Hills. The top five Randolph County scores all belong to the Bears. Ryder Jones was county medalist shooting a 74. Shawn Roderick finished second with a 77. Khaner Phillips and Landon Taylor tied for third with an 87, and Gavan Patterson was fifth with an 88. Five scores under 90 is an impressive day. Great job to our golfers!
