Baseball practice will be Monday and Wednesday 5-7.

Tonight’s volleyball game at Richmond has been postponed until a date to be determined. JH Volleyball will practice tonight until 5pm in the main gym.

FFA Members – There is a Chapter Kick-off meeting on Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00 p.m. We will be cooking out and playing games to kick off the new year, please sign up on the Ag Room door if you will be attending this meeting.

Attention Seniors – We are starting a new tradition here at MC for any senior interested in participating. Seniors will have the opportunity to paint a ceiling tile that will hang in the senior hallway for the 2021-22 school year. At the end of the year, you will have the option of taking it with you. It’s not a requirement, but a way for you to “make your mark” during your senior year. Of course, tiles will have to be school appropriate before we will hang them up. We will have a ceiling tile painting session on Monday, August 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the art room. Depending on interest, we may have additional painting sessions in the future, but if you really interested

Attention Freshmen – If you have not yet turned in your money and permission form for the study trip to Camp Slingshot on Friday, September 3rd, the due date for that is Tuesday. Please turn these items into the main office.

The MC girls’ golf team finished 3rd at the MEC golf tournament on Saturday. Finishing with honorable mention honors were Lydia Price in 18th place and Carol-Anne Kritsch in 16th place. Finishing with All-Conference honors were Maleigh Ervin in 12th place and Audrey Stoops with a team-high 10th place finish. The girls play at Hickory Hills on Monday and compete in the County tournament on Thursday.

Varsity football won the inaugural opener against Indy Attucks 25-6. The Bear’s ripped off 25 straight points after giving up a kick return for a touchdown to open the game. The game was stopped in the second quarter and due to weather conditions. The Bear’s play at conference foe North Decatur this Friday.
