Daily Announcements 9/14/2021
All student drivers are required to have a parking pass and updated driver information in the office. If you have not filled out a new form or need a parking pass please be sure to pick one up in the office. There is a form that needs to be filled out and signed and the cost of a pass is $5.
Students who do not have parking passes could have discipline or parking privileges revoked!
Student Drivers must have a pass by Friday, October 1.
This past Saturday the FFA Milk Quality Team of Zach Lee, Gracie Lee, and Clay Smith placed 7th in the State, only a couple placings away from making it to Nationals! The team had to examine milk defects, identify cheese, and identify dairy products and take an industry and problem solving quiz. Zach Lee placed 13th Overall Individually. Congrats to our Milk Quality and Products Team!

Feeling dramatic? Monroe Central Theatre will be holding auditions for the fall play “Heir to a Misfortune” on September 14th & 15th at 3:30pm in the choir room. No experience needed! Audition forms will be available in the front office and at the audition. Email Ms. Miner with any questions at ominer@monroecentral.org.
All high school students are invited to the Harvest Semi-Formal dance! The dance will be Saturday, September 25th, 8pm-11pm. The cost of tickets will be $15 for couples and $8 for a single. Tickets will only be sold during A lunch through Friday September 24th. Tickets will also be sold at the door. If a student from another school will be attending, please pick up a dance request form from the office. Come out and have a great time!
Seniors – we have another ceiling tile art project work session scheduled for this Wednesday from after school until 7:00-8:00 p.m. If you are interested in painting a tile, you must get started this Wednesday night. We may have one more session for those who have started to allow them to finish.
The MC Jr High Cross Country teams ran against 17 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams Saturday morning at Randolph Southern. The boys finished 3rd overall. Jackson Wines led the boys, coming in 7th out of 167 boys. Max Wagner, Zadok Lloyd, Wyatt Daniels, and Noah Morey finished out the top 7 MC runners. Nick Hendrickson ran a season best time for the 1.8 mile distance. The girls team came in 1st place! Abby Thomas led the Lady Bears, coming in 7th overall. Makennah Chamness and Ailey Moon finished out the top 7 with season best times. Great Job Bears!
The Monroe Central Girls lost a very close golf match to Wapahani 221-218 at Cardinal Hills on Monday night. Maleigh Ervin was low medalist for the meet with 49. Other Bear scores: Lydia Price:50, Carli Hunt:61, Carol-Anne Kritsch:61, Ariana Poe:63. The Bears play Daleville Tuesday at Crestview to finish the regular season.
Monroe Central Football…… won last Friday at home versus Oldenburg 45-0….. Elijah Taylor aka “Kicking Bear” hit a school record 32 yard field goal. The team would like to send a big thanks to the cheer block for all the support. This week the Bear’s face second ranked South Adams. They have a student cheer block that travels to road games… they like to dominate the environment….. calling themselves The Universe…. (Starfires). Hope to see you all at the game. Go Bears!
