Daily Announcements 9/29/2023

There will be wrestling open mats for High School and Jr High on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 pm.

Open field for students interested in playing softball are open to any student in grades 7-12 and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6p while the weather allows.

The Radio Club will meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at the high school from 5-7pm in room 106.

The Senior Trip will be May 5th-7th, 2024 and we will be going to Cincinnati – including a day at Kings Island and 2 nights at Great Wolf Lodge. Total cost for the trip is $300 and a $20 deposit is due to Ms. Summers by Wednesday, October 4th. If you have any questions or need additional information see Ms. Summers, Grant Rees or Addison Coe.

School Picture Retake Day is scheduled for the morning of October 5th. If you are in need of retakes or missed the original picture day, please plan to have your photo taken on this date. Any questions may be directed to Mr. Sims.

Interested in Archery Club? Please stop by the office and pick up a registration form with information about the season. Registration forms are due back to the office by October 6th.

The Monroe Central Scholarship Fund, Inc. Sadie Hawkins/Halloween Dance will be Saturday, October 28th from 7 pm to 10 pm. Dance request forms are due back to the school no later than Wednesday, October 25th. Students not from Monroe Central will need to bring a picture ID with them. 

Crabtree Photography will be taking pictures for the dance. To order pictures, pick up an order form in the front office or in Student Services or you can click on the link below to order online.

After school help will be every Tuesday and Thursday. This is for all grades and all subjects. It will be held in room 118 for the next two weeks.

MCCTA is still selling beef sticks before school and after school in the junior high and high school hallways (outside room 110) and in Mrs. Van Pelt’s room.

The junior high football team defeated rival Wes-Del 46-6. The Bears controlled the game in all phases. This was the first time in which the junior high team has recorded defensive touchdowns in back-to-back games in the past decade. The Bears put Wes-Del away early and never looked back as a running clock started early in the 3rd quarter. The well rounded team has improved to 3-1 and look to cap off their season with a win this coming Tuesday against South Adams here at home.
