MC Alumni Association Non-Traditional Scholarship Application

The purpose of the Monroe Central Alumni Association Non-traditional Scholarship is to award a non-traditional Alumni the opportunity for some financial aid to attend a 4 or 2 year accredited, not-for-profit college, trade or vocational school.

The criteria for this award is as follows:

  • Must have attended Monroe Central High School for at least 2 years
  • Must have been out of high school for a minimum of 5 years
  • Must be registered at a 4 or 2 year accredited, not-for-profit college, trade school or vocational school
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours
  • Must write a short essay on what Monroe Central means to you and why you are going to school

The scholarship will be awarded at Monroe Central’s Awards Night when senior scholarships are awarded. The recipient is invited to accept the scholarship that evening but it is not required. The Monroe Central Alumni Association will keep all applications and essays private. The committee will be the only people to see these applications. This scholarship is a one-time award of $500. All applications must be submitted by March 29. Applications may be picked up at the high school or can be mailed to you.
