School Safety Update – October 24, 2021

This morning school officials received information concerning a potential threat of violence made through social media. 

In working with local and Randolph County law enforcement officials we have determined the threat not to be credible.

We believe this social media post is referencing a “central” high school in another state and the investigation has determined this was not made by a Monroe Central student.

We appreciate the reporting of this information and will continue to monitor this situation closely.
