Daily Announcements 11/21/2023

There will be no after school homework help on Tuesday this week. 

There has been a date change for the call-out meeting for any high school student interested in participating in this year’s Poetry Out Loud program. The meeting will now be on Tuesday, November 28th during study hall in Mrs. Braswell’s room.

The MCCTA (Mrs. Van Pelt) will be selling granola bars instead of beef sticks. They are 2 bars for $1.

The 8th grade girls basketball team opened up their season with a big win against rival Winchester. At halftime the Lady Bears had built a lead by a score of 30-9, with the final score being 46-26. Aberee Ervin led all scorers with 24pts along with her 8 assists. Charlee Morris scored 6 pts. Coming off the bench, Brylie Tinsman and Abby Thomas both scored 6 pts as well and Oakleigh Davis and Brynlee Patterson each added a bucket. It was a total team effort as all the 8th grade lady bears saw playing time tonight.  Great 1st win of the season against Winchester.

The Monroe Central 7th Grade Boys Basketball team defeated rival Driver, 39-24. The Bears were led in scoring by Miles Gross with 18 points, Dallas Frantz 7 points, and Alex Middleton 5 points. The Bears are back in action Monday against Daleville.
